Stainless steel 304 is an austenitic stainless steel with excellent mechanical qualities and a high level of corrosion resistance. It is a well-liked option for applications requiring resistance to corrosion and oxidation since it contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Medical equipment, chemical processing equipment, and cooking items are frequently made with stainless steel 304 strips.
Strips of stainless steel 304 are available in a range of widths and thicknesses, from 0.25 inches to 12 inches, and 0.002 inches to 0.125 inches thick. Depending on the use, they can be delivered either annealed or tempered.
